Waldorf Hotel London

As a supplier of tea parties, I receive tonnes of emails regarding charity events and it can be hard to choose which ones to support. However, when I received a call from the Stand Up To Cancer team I knew this would be a great one to help, especially when they mentioned it was in collaboration with Louise Pentland (A Sprinkle of Glitter).

The brief was fairly vague…an afternoon tea dance event at the Waldorf Hotel, London. My aim was to ‘pretty’ the tables and create a tea service area. So, after roping in my mum and a few friends (Jenny, Anne-Marie and Rachel) to help out, we set to work transforming the room.  It was a really fun event, starting with a warm up routine with Brian Friedman which was hilarious and once we were all exhausted the pros taught us a few dance routines. After the cha cha cha I was well and truly ready for my afternoon tea.

The vintage china received lots of great compliments and the event raised lots of money for research into cancer as guests text in to donate. The tea dance went live on social media and with the help of Louise’s huge YouTube following continues to raise money.

It was a real honour to be involved with this charity tea dance –  two days later my feet have finally stopped aching! Here are a few images from the event. Please scroll to the end for a link to the YouTube video.
