Vintage plate hire for weddings

Last summer I was invited by the talented Lily Sawyer to supply a styled shoot in West Ham Park,  London. Lily is a fantastic urban wedding photographer who has such an eye for detail and a wonderfully creative mind. The styled shoot was based on Modern Vintage with white simplicity and a relaxed urban garden setting, while being affordable. Lilly put together the perfect team for this style and the full write up can be seen over on Lilly’s blog Lily Sawyer Blog.

Vintage Flair supplied a selection of vintage crockery from the hire collection. My crockery was perfect for the shoot as it’s all ‘white based’ bone china with gold detail and subtle patterns – perfect for the modern vintage look. Lilly styled a tea for two setting and a dinner place setting with a variety of my crockery pieces.

Here are some of my favourite images from the shoot:

To create this look its important to only have minimal colour and lots of white and gold to give the luxury edge to a vintage wedding. A variety of textures and metallics has created a modern twist to a vintage wedding. This can only be achieved by using white based, fine bone china as vintage pottery would give a more shabby chic look. There are so many different looks that are called ‘vintage’ and I’m sure you will agree that modern vintage is a very different look to shabby chic vintage. All of the crockery items in my hire collection have gold gilt and are fine bone china. This creates a very premium collection which can then be styled in different ways depending on the theme. I’m a big fan of modern vintage styling at the moment and there are some great stylists out there who’ve got it spot on – just like Lily Swayer.

If you would like to create this look for your wedding, please send over an enquiry via this form  and I’ll happily send over a quote.
